 Logon to desimatch.com using your "Username" and "Password." Click on "My Account" section. In that section there
is a provision to modify your password. Click "Modify" button.
Enter your current password.
Enter your new password and confirm the same.
Click on "Change" button.
Your new password will be immediately activated. Please use the new password the next time you login.

How do I upgrade my profile?

 You can upgrade your profile by becoming a paid member of DesiMatch.
For your convenience we have different payment options. You can pay either by credit card, check or demand draft.
Online payment through credit card is the easiest, fastest and secured mode of payment.
Our payment gateway provider adopts the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, an internationally proven widely
accepted technology that ensures highest level of security while transacting on the net, preventing unauthorized access.

How do I add my profile?
|
 Click on the link Register. The form to add your profile will be displayed. Give all the necessary details asked
in the form. Click on submit button. Give as many details as possible, including your contact details in full.
This will increase the chances of your profile being displayed when our members search for matches. After
you submit your information, your profile will be automatically created. All the profiles are validated
before inclusion in the database. It may take up to 24 hours for the validation. An E-mail would be sent
to you once the profile is added. The profiles are validated for statutory regulations of the site to
avoid pornography and various other factors and to have uniformity in the database. |

Why do you take 24 hrs for validation?
|
 Validation of profiles is done manually. Our support team meticulously validates each and every profile carefully
on specific criterion before it is added to our database. Hence, it takes 24 hrs to validate all the profiles that are
being added on one particular day. |

On what criteria is the validation done?
|
 Almost every word counts. We categorically ignore profiles that are submitted by underage persons, and profiles
that contain abusive content. We try to maintain the highest quality in our database served. |

What should I enter in the profile description field?
|
 This is where you reveal yourself - your personality, your likes and dislikes, your educational, career and
personal interests, and expectations about your partner/friend. Try to give a clear self-description and enter
your expectations clearly and completely. A good description will always fetch instant responses.

How do I delete my profile?
|
 To delete your profile:
Login using your "Username" and "Password".
Go to "My Account" section. There will be a provision for you to delete and close your account.
"I want to delete and close my DesiMatch profile." Click on it you will get a cancellation popup.
Click on the "Yes" button. Your profile will be deleted immediately.
Please note that profiles once deleted cannot be restored or reactivated.

 Advanced Search is designed to cover every aspect of your search criteria and this will deliver profiles
matching your specific criteria. Advanced Search has additional options of searching for profiles using location,
appearance, socio-religious and educational or professional background to further bring profiles closest to your
expectations. |

What is Keyword Search?
|
 Keyword Search uses keywords to find other members with similar hobbies and interests. Eg. Snow bowling,
Skydiving...

Search by Date
|
 This search allows you to search for members who are currently active. For example members who have
signed in the last 7 days/last 2 weeks/last 1 month

 You can use this search to check out the list of members who have joined us recently. |

What is Username Search?
|
 You can use wildcards to find partial words in a username. For instance, you could use the letter m* and all
profiles with names starting with the letter m will be displayed. Alternatively, you could also use *m* where
profiles in which m is featured will be displayed in your search results. |

Professional Search
|
 If you're looking for someone from a specific professional background, for example a Doctor, Musician or a
Model you could use this search. |

How do I add profiles to my favorites?

 Login to desimatch.com using your "Username" and "Password."
In the search results page under a member's profile,
there will be an "Add to Favorites" button. Click on it to add a member to favorite list. You can also add a
member to your favorite list by clicking on the "My Favorites" link. In that page there is a provision to
enter a members Username to add them to your list of favorites.

What are the advantages of free membership?
|
 A free membership is ideal for starters. As a free member, you can:
Post your profile.
Add your photo to it. (optional)
Receive mails of matching profiles.
Receive alerts of members interested in you. |

How do I get in touch with members of my interest?
|
 Once you have narrowed down your search you can send interests to members through "Smiles" and "Mail" and
if you are a subscribed paid member you can also chat online with them and send and receive mails. |

How do I add a photo to my profile?
|
 Login using your "Username" and "Password." This will take you to "My DesiMatch" page. Click on the link
"My Profile." In this page you will have a provision to add your photos. Click the 'Browse' button and select the
digital photo (in JPG /GIF format) you wish to add to your profile. Click on "Add Photo" to add the photo to your
profile. The photo will be added as your Main Photo. You also have the option of adding up to 3 photos to your
profile. |

I do not have a digital photo. How do I add my photo?
|
 If you do not have a digital (scanned) photo you can send your photo to any of our offices, with your
username and password. Please mention which photo should be added as the main photo. We will scan the
photo and upload it for you. This service is absolutely FREE. If you want your photo to be returned
to you, please include a self-addressed envelope with prepaid postage. |

How do I change a photo in my profile?

 Login using your "Username" and "Password". This will take you to "My DesiMatch" page. In this page there is a
provision called 'Edit Photo" click on that button to add or replace a photograph.

In what size should I upload my digital photo?
|
 The maximum size acceptable for a digital photo is 100 KB. If your photo is more than 100 KB, please email it
to photo@desimatch.com with your Username and Password. We will reduce the image size and upload it for
you, absolutely FREE. |

How do I protect my photo?
|
 To ensure your privacy, you can protect your photo with a password. You can give the password to
prospective partners upon communication. Login using your "Username" and "Password" Under the
"Member Options" section, click on "Protect Photo" link Select the "Yes" button against "Protect Photo" Enter
your photo password (different from profile password) and re-enter it for confirmation. Click on the "Submit"
button. Please note that this option is available only for paid members. |

How do I view protected photos?
|
 If a photo prompts for a password to be viewed when you try to view it, it means that this member has
protected his/her photo for privacy reasons. To view a protected photo, you need a photo password. Contact
the member and get the photo password to view the photo. |

I've forgotten my photo password. How do I retrieve it?
|
 You cannot retrieve it but you can set a new password. To get a new password, Login using your "Username"
and "Password" Under the "Member Options" section, click on "Protect Photo" link. Select the "Yes" button
against "Protect Photo" Enter your new photo password (different from profile password) and re-enter it for
confirmation. Click on the "Submit" button. |

How to unprotect my photo and make it viewable?

What is partner preference?
|
 Partner preference is a feature that helps you define your ideal partner and set your suitability criteria. You
will be intimated by E-mail everyday about new profiles matching your criteria. With this feature you would
receive information about members suiting your expectations regularly. This option is available for all members. |

What are "Sent Messages" and "Received Messages"?
|
 "Sent Messages" folder contains a list of messages that you have sent to other members. "Received Messages"
folder contains list of messages that you have received from other members. To view a list of Messages
Sent/Received, Login using your "Username" and "Password" Click on the "Sent Messages" or "Received
Messages" in "My DesiMatch" Page to view a list of profiles and respective messages sent and received. |

I did not receive any response for my profile. Why?
|
 On an average, around 1% of the profiles are entered with misspelled E-mail address or wrong E-mail address.
If you have not received any E-mail from our system, please login using your "Username" and "Password"
on the home page and click on the Modify Profile option to correct the E-mail address. Also, check whether
you have given a clear self-description. Try to enter your expectations clearly and completely. Add your
photo to your profile as profiles with photos get a better response. Take full advantage of your paid
membership and search frequently for matching profiles and contact them.

I do not want to receive messages from certain members. What do I do?
|
 To stop a member from sending messages to you, use the "Block Member" feature. This option is available when
you are viewing profiles. Click on the Block icon to block a member from sending messages to you. If you click on
the "Block icon" you will get a popup asking you whether you wish to block the following member from interacting
with you. Click on the "Yes" button to block the member.
You can also see a list of the members you have blocked by going to Block member page. If you want to unblock a
member, click on the Unblock icon.

What are filters? How do I apply them?
|
 A filter is an option that can be used to prevent certain members from sending messages to you. For example if you are
an unmarried person and would not like to receive messages from married persons, you can apply a filter to such
categories.
|

How to set your filters:
|
 1. Put a check mark on the "Gender" you do not want to receive messages from.
2. Put a check mark on the "Marital Status" you do not want to receive messages from.
3. Enter the "Age" group you do not want to receive messages from.
4. Select the "Countries" you do not want to receive messages from and click the "Add" button.
To deselect a country, select the country and click on the "Remove" button.

How do filters work?
|
 If you set a filter, a member to whom the filter is applicable can only see or forward your profile. The options for
Send a Smile, Chat, Mail & Add to Favorites will be disabled - the icons will become lighter and will no longer be
a link. The filters you set are applicable to you also. For example, if you set a filter that blocks messages from
Married members, then, while searching and viewing profiles of Single Members, you will not have options for
Send a Smile, Chat, Mail & Add to Favorites. They will be disabled. However, if you must send a message,
you can change your filter and then send a message.
