The Seventh Dulhan Expo: Whippany, New Jersey

The seventh in the series of International South Asian Bridal Shows called Dulhan Expo was held at the Hanover Marriott Hotel in Whippany, North Jersey on October 31, 2004. Dulhan Expo fetched a crowd of 3000 plus visitors. About 70+ vendors of various categories. Interestingly, the organizers incorporated the Hindu Festival of Karva Chowth Vrat & Muslim Festival of Ramadan, along with the American Holiday of Halloween into the Expo. Pandit Vimesh Bhai Thakar officiated the Vrat Katha in the Hanover Ballroom, while Ashirwad Palace served Vegetarian & Halal Food for the visitors breaking their fast, and not to mention there was a Halloween table full of Goody Bags for the kids.

Nina Lamba of Khubsoorat Salon, Husaini of Kreation, Kalpana Patel of Sajawat Parlour, and Salma of Kangan Beauty Salon provided free mehndi to all future brides & Karva Chowth Pooja participants. Susmita Patel amazed the attendees with her Hollywood style make-up, while Nina Doshi, Nina Lamba, Susmita, & Salma offered free makeovers & bridal make-up trials.

Kulraaj Anand was the Master of Ceremony and Anand Patole with Anjana gave a live instrumental music performance. Ritesh Rathod of Medley Entertainment and Harish Peri of Uptown Dholis also entertained.

Sarina Jain, the fitness Guru of ‘Masala Bhangra Workout’ fame worked with the crowds and taught them how to shed a few pounds before the big day. South Asian Bridal Show 2005 in CA

Ravissant and Unique Elegance will host a bridal show on Sunday, 9th January, 2005 from 11am to 5pm at the Hyatt Regency, Irvine, California. The show will feature exhibits from over 40 top wedding professionals offering the newest ideas in wedding planning.
